I was telling my kids way back in 2005-6 when they were ushering in net zero that what they wanted was us sitting in the dark shivering, looks like I was right.

Also notable that the comparable countries for halved per capita energy consumption are all a lot warmer year round than Northern Europe

I can’t find any major airline saying they will be out of business in 2050. Here’s Ryanair’s pathway to net zero.

Mind you, 24% of carbon reduction measures are projected to come from offsetting and other economic measures. Presumably that’s customers planting trees in the Amazon.

It’s the same with the energy companies. None of them are owning the 50% reduction in per capita energy consumption. Here’s National Grid

Of course they’re only interested in their own direct emissions. What goes down their pipes and wires is not their responsibility.
