Computer modelling seems to play a large role in these hysteria. Someone needs to investigate how dodgy models can be, and have been, abused. Since these people don't understand, they see a pretty chart/graph showing "projected estimates", and they abandon all skepticism.

Perhaps the most dangerous aspect of all of this is not that the leaders of the movement are not qualified, but that the leaders of the movement have a strong vested interest in keeping the story going regardless of the consequences.

There is no independent review of decisions, everyone in the decision making process makes their living from propagating the concept of Net Zero. Even if they were qualified, none of them would stand up and say "this won't work, we need to change course".

To add to the glorious clean green future which awaits us,we now have a group of academics from,I think,Leeds University advocating rationing.

This lot seem to be blissfully unaware that many of us are doing just that,as we negotiate alarming increases in the cost of living.

Scotland's more zealous anaesthetists are banning desflurane in operating theatres,as part of their pledge to reduce carbon emissions:

A very large elephant in the Net Zero room is the fact that our population is growing rapidly, driven by mass legal and illegal migration, both waved through by successive dishonest governments.

So ,for the zealots to achieve/enforce their renewable utopia, they will have to corall us into high density ,tightly packed designated living areas,in order to have sufficient open areas for extensive arrays of wind turbines and solar panels.

Thus we would.find ourselves in a virtual borg collective, while our affluent managers retreat to their spacious gated communities.
